Pheasant's Tears was founded in 2005 by American John Wurdeman and Georgian Gela Patalishvili, with the aim of preserving the ancient traditions of Georgian winemaking and bringing them to the world. Their vineyards, which are up to 200 years old, produce wines that tell a rich cultural story of Georgia's 6,000-year-old winemaking history.
Pheasant's Tears’ Rkatsiteli Bakurtsikhe is a remarkable white wine from the Kakheti region of Georgia. Made with the indigenous Rkatsiteli grape, this wine has a light, golden hue and exudes inviting aromas of citrus, apricots and honey. On the palate, it is a complex and elegant wine with refreshing acidity balanced by a subtle sweetness and a touch of minerality. It is a medium-bodied wine with a clean and crisp finish, leaving a lovely aftertaste of apricots, peaches and nuts.
Perfect for pairing with seafood, cheese and light dishes, this wine is a true expression of Georgian winemaking know-how.
