This wine seems to capture the deceptively relaxed and cheerful nature, where there is definitely something more going on beneath the surface with notes of red berries, maraschino cherries, almond and herbs.

The 2020 vintage was the first, and its biodynamically grown grapes come from several locations around the commune of Saint-Joseph sur Villié Morgon. The vines are located in one of the appellation’s higher elevations, meaning cooler temperatures are a key factor in the freshness and acidity that balance the rounder red and blackberry aspects of the flavor profile.

After hand harvesting, the juice is fermented with wild yeast in a mixture of stainless steel and old barrels.

Originally from Burgundy, SANDRINE HENRIOT took over 3 hectares of Beaujolais vineyards in Régnié, Morgon and Beaujolais-Village in 2018. The plots have been farmed organically since 2004 and biodynamically since 2010.

Her wines exhibit intensity, structure and complexity, but they also boast remarkable juiciness and airiness, making them exceptionally approachable and enjoyable. In the vineyard, she avoids artificial yeast or filtration, opting for minimal sulfur use.
